Job overview:

To support the implementation and development of the inpatient strategy and service improvement.

The role will support review of both clinical practice and workforce development to ensure staff wellbeing and improve patient experience.


Main duties of the job:


The post holder will:

  • Be responsible for leading a designated portfolio of Quality, Governance and Patient Safety within the Service Line.
  • Develop and annually update the Service Line Quality Strategy.
  • Manage the Audit programme within the Service Line.
  • Undertake a range of clinical audits identified within the Service Line Audit programme.
  • Support clinicians in the delivery of their audit programmes ensuring that identified audits are undertaken and reported on.
  • Continually promote a culture of quality and patient safety.
  • Support and lead the Service Line Quality initiatives as requested / required (i.e. CQUINS, Quality Account Priority)
  • Work with Service Line Leads to identify, develop and drive quality initiatives.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
