    Description

    IT Support Officer, 23 months, Edinburgh, £155 per day Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a public sector organisation, who are looking to recruit an IT Support Officer on a 23 month contractual basis.

    Our client is looking to recruit an IT Support Officer who will work under the supervision of the Assistant Head:
    IT Support.

    Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to providing both new and existing users with hardware and software, managing tickets with third party support services, supporting users' use of the supplied hardware and software and managing the secure disposal of software and hardware.

    You will receive a daily rate of £155.

    Be responsible for setting up requisite IT accounts for new recruitsSupport the provision of hardware to colleagues, to ensure they can effectively undertake their roleSupport the installation of software, providing, where applicable, instructions for users on using that softwareWhere applicable, develop manuals, tutorials, and processes and procedures to guide and support colleagues using a newly developed software packageTroubleshoot IT issues with staff membersDemonstrable experience of supplying first and second line support in the workplaceHigh levels of oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and engage in a range of internal and external settingsThe ability to gather evidence of non-technical users' technical issues to provide third party support services sufficient information to solve issuesExperience of working in a high performing, fast-paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary environmentProven ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlinesPublic sector/Government experience is highly desirableIf this sounds like the role for you then do not hesitate to get in touch with me or simply click on the apply button.
