    JOB TITLE: Logistics Operator

    DEPARTMENT: Logistics

    LOCATION: Bacton Gas Terminal, Great Yarmouth

    PURPOSE/ROLE: The Logistics Operator is part of a multi-skilled team capable of delivering all of Bacton Gas Plant logistics day to day operations

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Stores
    • Responsible for the day to day running of goods inward and outward, ensuring that stock levels are always maintained and providing efficient customer service.
    • Good understanding of the materials control including receipt, storage, issue and movement of materials
    • Ensuring best practice housekeeping standards are kept.
    • Conducting regular checks on stock to ensure levels are available and not running low
      • Organise transport arrangements.
    • Understanding of requirements of COSHH and other regulatory/environmental procedures associated within a materials control function.
    • Provide a seamless and efficient service for all customers to stores.
    • Manual handling
    Tankering
    • Coordinate all field tankering activities for the site.
    • Explore and implement opportunities to streamline tanker deliveries, loading / unloading and managing MEG, condensate, slops and dirty water.
    Plant Ancillaries
    • Taking Samples from Glycol / Condensate Tanks
    • Pumping out, cleaning site wide pits and bunds
    • Key contact to cleaning contractors/vendors during any cleaning scopes on site.
    • Carry out daily site orientation checks and report any defects.
    • Liaise and support operations and desalination plant activities as requested
      • Organise and control waste on site ensuring personnel can recycle waste appropriately.
    • Forklift duties as required.
    • Provide support to the maintenance team as required
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications and Training
    • FLT / Telehandler License
    • Permit Holder
    • COSHH awareness
    • ADR - Dangerous Goods Awareness
    • Forklift & Telehandler certificates
    • AGT - Authorized Gas Tester
    • Wood mandatory training: Induction, Working at Height, Risk Awareness.
