Our Client is an
Independent Design Agencyworking with a fantastic portfolio of high growth clients. They are well acclaimed and are growing rapidly with offices UK, US and Europe


As a result of their growth plans, the business is looking for an ambitious
Accounts Assistant to join them on permanent basis.

This role will work closely with the Management Accountant and other members of the finance team in London. There will also be some interaction with non-financial teams.


This role will suit someone looking to work within a fast-paced business, who is driven to contribute towards its continued growth.

To succeed you will need to be well organised, diligent about the details, focused on delivering to deadlines, able to communicateeffectively with people from outside of a finance, be a good collaborator and team player as well as having proactive mindset when it comes to improving processes to be more efficient and effective.

As
Accounts Assistant you will be working closely with the Management Accountant & Financial Controller of the business:

  • To maintain accurate financial records on which management & statutory information is based;
- to ensure compliance of statutory legal requirements;
- to help manage the accounts payable function;
- to create and analyse financial reports


Accounts Assistant Key
Responsibilities:


  • Regular reconciliations of the group's bank accounts including multicurrencies and FX variances.
  • Record/review banking transactions weekly. Ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately into the ledgers.
  • Reviewing the AP uploads to ensure correct coding of costs to the general ledger, VAT categorisation and accurate descriptions and due dates.
  • Respond to supplier queries and reconcile accounts where required.
  • Process credit cards and employee expenses and suggest solutions and efficiencies to the process. Reconcile these on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure there is accurate & appropriate backup to all expense transactions across the group and controls/policies are being adhered to.
  • Responsible for the maintenance & cleanliness of the accounts payable ageing ledgers, cash and expense related balance sheet accounts.
  • Assisting with VAT returns & ensuring compliance.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting annual statutory reports
  • Assisting with stat accounting reconciliations.
  • Adhering to weekly & monthly deadlines set by senior management.
  • Ad hoc analysis as required by the MA
  • Assisting the MA with intercompany postings, reconciliations and generating billing between agencies.
  • Generate reports for management review & other ad hoc as required.
  • Assist with audit & system upgrades.

Accounts Assistant Key Skills Required:


  • Minimum 23 years finance work experience, preferably studying AAT or similar.
  • A selfstarter, with a proactive approach to getting things done, as well as being an effective team player and contributor.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills & attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation and timemanagement skills and focused on delivering to deadlines.
  • Proven bookkeeping experience and accounts payable management.

  • Experience with working in a multicurrency, multientity environment preferable.
  • Experience with cloudbased accounting systems and APIs desirable, particularly Quickbooks Online. as well as Excel (GSuite and Microsoft Office).
