- Real estate lending. Likely to be in the structured finance team of an investment bank or an alternate lender. They would consider a corporate banking REF team but you would need to demonstrate strong cash flow modelling expertise.
- Real estate investing. Likely to be a value-add, special situations investor than somebody from an institutional team with a core investing background but they are open minded.
- Real estate corporate finance. From a bulge bracket or boutique investment bank.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Understanding of debt structuring, documentation and credit process fundamentals, as well as strong problem solving abilities
- Ability to manage complex and shifting priorities
- Entrepreneurial character and self-motivated
- A positive and proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a small and growing team
- Transaction screening and due diligence for potential debt and equity investments across a variety of European real estate asset classes
- Full underwriting and modelling of transactions
- Compiling and issuing term sheets
- Assisting in-house and third party lawyers with the structuring and documentation of transactions
- Collaborate with in-house and external advisers on the structuring of investments from a Tax and Regulatory perspective
- Ongoing monitoring of investments, debt & equity
- Monitoring and reporting on individual investment and overall Fund performance
- Liaison with key stakeholders, both internal and external, on investment performance
- Assist senior personnel on the origination of new real estate debt investments.
