    Job summary

    Ward 1/ Coronary Care has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, senior cardiology nurses to progress into a Sister/Charge Nurse position on an 12 month secondment/ fixed term position.

    Fixed term position from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2025 but this may be extended/ the position may turn permanent.

    Main duties of the job

    The ideal candidate will have at least 3 Years Cardiology experience, it is essential that applicants must have a current Advanced Life Support certificate and be able to work in Coronary Care as the senior nurse whilst providing support to the ward.

    The candidate would be expected to deputise in the absence of the ward manager and work as part of a team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. They will be expected to have good leadership skills and be able to co-ordinate the unit and manage staff. They must act as a role model at all times and encourage and support junior staff members.
