Executive Talent Solutions are working with a leading Logistics business to recruit an experienced IT Manager.


The business offers full 3PL / Logistics services to a range of exciting clients and has enjoyed significant growth over the past 3 years.

Having won further clients, the business is looking to recruit and ambitious IT Manager to continue to drive a numberof key projects.


The sucessful IT Manager will working in their Leeds office (some WFH is possible) and receive a salary between £50,000 and £60,000 depending on experience.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Appraise all software's currently in operation within the business, noting gaps strengths and risks draw a system architecture diagram so all the business is aware of the technical software's in use
  • Support WMS migration which involves a lot of technical resource and time pressure
  • Manage the migration from old to new WMS with successful replatforming
  • Review all current customer integrations to the WMS and other internal software's (couriers, ERP etc) and assess a roadmap of what needs to be completed with a priority list
  • Be comfortable taking the needs of other stakeholders into consideration and politely communicating with them and work to key time pressures
  • Ensure new customers are technically aware of what integrations need to be done and help them perform this to time pressures
  • Hire a junior IT support member to take care of more routine technical tasks such as Passwords, Hardware management, Staff software such as Microsoft office etc and security
  • Recruit a Warehouse Systems analyst who can be a bridge to the warehouse operations team in regard to training and bug fixing the WMS as they arise but be escalation point when required
  • Define the future technical strategy of the 2 companies over the longer term
  • Implement a data management database or software so the business can house, exploit and analyse critical operational and financial data which will drive commercial decisions
