    Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

    Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

    Location: Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 6HB

    Full Time and Permanent – Monday to Friday – 8.00 am-5.00 pm (also happy to consider someone who wants to work 4 days a week) – option to work ideally 1 Saturday a month

    Our client is a family-run, well-established, and respected MOT & car service garage in Prudhoe.

    The garage is an up-to-date and fully equipped test centre with all the facilities to service and repair your vehicles.

    They are now actively looking to recruit for a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for their Role is only working Monday to Friday, so no weekends and they are happy to consider someone who wants to work 4 days a week or 5 days a week. There is the option of ideally working 1 Saturday per month.

    As a qualified Vehicle Technician, you will be at the very heart of our customer experience, keeping them on the road so they can get safely from A to B and taking great pride in a job well done.

    Working with a talented team, you'll repair, service, and care for all kinds of vehicles – identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records, and meeting demanding quality and safety standards. Working to MOT and manufacturer standards, you'll focus on delivering customer satisfaction and public safety as you minimise costs for the customer.

    Requirements:
    • Candidates ideally will be Level 3 Qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance, however, our client is happy to consider someone who is Level 2 Qualified and can repair/replace clutches and Cam belts
    • A qualified MOT Tester would be ideal but it is not essential
    • Previous vehicle technician experience in a busy garage is essential
    • A full and Valid driving licence is essential
