Nightshift Transport Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a
Nightshift Transport Supervisor to join our General Haulage team based in Preston.


In this role, you will contribute to the growth and success of our organisation with nightshift responsibility for ensuring that all work is distributed whilst complying with all transport legislation, health & safety and customer service requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Nightshift control and execution of the transport plan, adapting this as necessary, you will be briefing and debriefing with our drivers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe manner and in accordance to company standards.
  • Ensure any queries from our drivers or customers are responded to in a professional manner.
  • Support on collating management info and KPI's and ensure that site compliance and security is maintained.
Skills / Experience

  • Background in the transport & logistics sector, with knowledge and experience of continuous improvement.
  • A good understanding of legal compliance, driver's hours and WTD's and knowledge of transport management systems & vehicle telematics (Tachomaster, Microlise, Road Runner).
  • Flexible approach to work demands and need to be an effective communicator with great organisational skills, being able to stay calm under pressure, thriving in a busy and fastpaced environment.
