    Multi Skilled Operative (External Works)

    Full Time (40 hours per week) based in Great Yarmouth, however travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required

    Starting Salary of £31,712 with progression opportunities to £33,644 per annum

    Plus, Company Vehicle and Call out payments

    Permanent Contract

    About the role

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Team.

    Our External works Operative will ensure that responsive repairs are carried out, providing a timely, efficient, and high standard of work to our properties. This is a key role in ensuring that our homes are maintained to a high standard and for us to provide an excellent service to our tenants.     The main focus of the role will be:

    • To complete allocated works which will fall within operative's trade / skill set but could range from Brickwork, Fencing, Plastering, Artexing & Over boarding, Paving & Patios, Drainage, Roof works (minor repairs), Floor Levelling, Wall tiling and Painting & Decorating.
    • Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of repairs and maintenance works within void and responsive repair service.
    • Deal with tenant enquiries and respond in a professional manner reporting anything back to the relevant manager.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have the following:

    • Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level two or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades
    • Property Maintenance experience – ideally residential properties
    • Ability to working across trades, beyond main trades, to deliver a full service to customers.
    • Evidence of working within a H&S aware environment
    • Experience of dealing with Customers directly
    • Basic / Good IT skills, particularly relating to using emails / Smart Phone.
    • Valid Driving Licence

    The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
