We have exciting opportunities for you to join the mental health rehabilitation pathway offering support and mental health rehabilitation focused interventions for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties during their admission.

We have a permanent full time vacancy for an Occupational Therapy Assistant at The Willows, LE5 0LE and a part time vacancy 3 days per week at Stewart House to replace a part time staff member who works Monday, Thursday and Friday. You will be joining well established, friendly and supportive teams.

You will work in MDT teams with Band 6 and Band 5 Occupational Therapists and other Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistants to provide feedback to the qualified staff to ensure appropriate OT Assessments and interventions to patients using Functional, Psycho-social, Cognitive, Sensory and Physical Health approaches.

You will assist the Occupational Therapists (OT) to deliver mental healthinterventions identified by the OTs to helppatients meet their individual goals, using evidence-based interventions.

You will assist the OTs in delivering individual treatment plans whichenable service users to develop or maintain their functional / cognitive skills andabilities using graded or adaptive strategies at all stages of their recovery.

You must be able to demonstrate risk awareness. Contributing to the MDT in managingrisk and risk assessments.

Main duties of the job

Post 1 - is a permanent full-time position at hours per week between to Monday to Friday at The Willows.

Post 2 - is a permanent part time position, 3 days per week ( hours) between and , ideally Monday, Thursday and Friday.
