    We are recruiting for a Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer working in one of our Building Engineering Teams in our Newark office.

    About The Design Business:

    RPS Design Division delivers projects across multiple, niche sectors from residential housing developments, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, data centres, energy and more as we strive to achieve the right balance between form and function when faced with competing priorities around sustainability, materiality, cost and constructability.

    Digitalisation is at the core of our delivery model allowing our clients and their stakeholders to really experience our designs right from project concept stage and through drawing on expertise spanning decades, industries and disciplines, we assist clients to harmonise design drivers through inspired engineering, architecture and development services.

    You will be working closely with the team Director and supporting the project lead.

    You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of design / drawing production to assist in the technical delivery of projects.

    Mentor junior colleagues; Attend and contribute to project/ client meetings
    Assist with site inspections and surveys as required
    Undertake design tasks based on expert technical knowledge
    Oversee and maintain high-quality technical design output
    Establish and maintain good relationships with external project team members and clients
    Produce detailed technical output using design models and expert knowledge
    Validate design models and calculations and contribute to technical specifications and reports
    Manage drawing production and ensuring BIM protocols are adhered to
    Relevant degree (ideally an accredited Masters Degree with ICE/ IStructE) in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent Level 6 qualification
    Ideally a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience
    Competent in relevant drawing, modelling and experienced in the application of relevant design software
    Good commercial awareness and project management skills and experience
    Manage continuous professional development and stay updated on legislation
    Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills
