Salary:
£39,136.30 per annum


Hours: 40 per week (Monday to Friday)
Shift times will vary between 6am - 2.30pm / 1.30pm - 10pm

IS THIS ROLE FOR ME?
We are looking for experienced Mechanic who shares our ambitious vision and values to make Bristol a cleaner and greener place to live and work


You will be providing efficient and effective high-quality vehicle maintenance of our own, new fleet, consisting of 250 vehicles, including Dennis, DAF, Mercedes and Isuzu.

Working as part of a team you will repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and troubleshoot breakdowns, performing preventative work on our fleet to ensure efficiency and cost control.

You will also support all employees of the workshop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:


  • Ensure fleet compliance records and workshop reports are completed correctly in date and efficiently retained.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with statutory legislation.
  • Ensure Brand image is of high standard.
  • Trouble shooting breakdowns.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Contain costs.
  • Evaluate service and parts options.
  • Ensure facilities are secure

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:


  • Minimum of 5 years mechanics experience with a range of vehicles
  • Ability to work with Job Cards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Hold a full driving licence valid for use in the UK

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:


  • Under pinning knowledge of commercial test criteria
  • Qualifications in vehicle maintenance
  • City & Guilds Qualification or equivalent
  • Practical experience in maintaining commercial vehicles
  • Able to evaluate health and safety risks
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a parts system
