Some exciting opportunities have arisen in our Learning Disabilities Day Service at Persona for casual support workers.

About you


Whilst previous experience isn't required you will need to share our REACH values and be a person with a 'can-do' attitude.

You will have an ability to develop positive relationships with people and be passionate in supporting people to reach their potential.

You'll want to make a positive difference to people's lives and take pride in delivering high quality support.

You'll have a belief that people have a right to control and define their own lives regardless of disability and see your role as enabling them to do this by supporting them to engage in a wide range of activities and opportunities both within our centres and as members of the wider community.

About the role


You will be working alongside a team of staff in one of our Learning Disability Day Service bases in Bury, with usual hours of work between 9am and 4pm on Monday to Friday on a casual basis, covering for holidays and sickness, the role is flexible, so you can decide when you work.


As a support worker you will be responsible for supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities to engage in a variety of activities they choose, such as going on long walks, joining in with virtual activity sessions, baking and much more either in groups or on an individual basis.

This post is a physical job where there is a requirement to support:

- people with personal care
- people who use wheelchairs to manoeuvre indoors and out in the community
- people to use public transport
- with community activities such as swimming, voluntary work, dance sessions and sports
