Job Title: Room Leader

Reports to: Directors/Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager

Role Summary: The Room Leader oversees daily operations in their assigned room, ensuring a high standard of care, safety, and learning for children. They lead room staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and support room staff in daily duties, including planning age-appropriate activities, maintaining records, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
2. Maintain legal ratios in the room while supporting other areas of the nursery when needed.
3. Ensure quality learning experiences through well-planned activities and environments.
4. Supervise children during meal times, adhering to dietary requirements and allergies.
5. Attend training sessions and stay updated on childcare policies and practices.
6. Organize and maintain the room environment, including displays of children's work.
7. Facilitate children's transitions and communicate effectively with parents.
8. Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and maintain accurate records.
9. Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met throughout the nursery.
10. Support the management team during regulatory inspections and assist with any recommendations.
