    At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.

    The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday.

    However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

    Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

    The role is part of the Group Finance team and is responsible for the management of the Pan-European Treasury operations of Honda Motor Europe (HME) group across UK and the European branches and subsidiaries.

    The role will be accountable for ensuring inherent funding, foreign currency risks and other financial and operational risks, are managed efficiently and effectively by developing proper assessment practices and maintaining policies, aligned with Honda Motor Co.

    (HM), to manage those risks and to be compliant with regulatory requirements.

    As the owner of the Treasury process in Europe, the role will provide the expertise to support on treasury related matters the finance teams and the internal stakeholders, being a central point of communications, control, and compliance across the region.

    The role will work closely with the Finance & Procurement Shared Service Centre (FPC), the regional finance teams, and the systems team to ensure smooth processes and workflows.

    Treasury Operations
    Proactively manage the company's treasury affairs in line with European and Japan HQ strategy.
    Develop and maintain effective treasury policies and practices within the European Group.
    Establish an effective mechanism to monitor and report treasury activity and cashflow in all European entities.
    Develop and maintain a central knowledge and expertise of European treasury matters affecting the company.
    Provide input to the Group's external reporting and audit including treasury related disclosures and reporting on going concern.
    Supervise Treasury and Cash Management service provided by FPC team.
    Project Support

    Provide treasury related advice to the Board and/or to project teams in respect of projects, transactions, system applications etc.

    Liaise with HM Treasury to support the achievement of the Global Cash Management objectives.
    Manage the implementation of an optimal and streamlined Pan European transactional banking services structure.

    In conjunction with ISD / FPC teams, drive forward continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure secure, timely and cost-effective transaction and reporting management for treasury activities.

    Maintain good relationships with banks, auditors, FPC and work closely with Honda personnel across Europe, Japan, and other parts of the Honda global organisation.

    Provide guidance and support to the internal stakeholders on treasury-related matters.

    Foster a cash culture beyond finance, encouraging collaboration with other departments to integrate cash management into decision making process.

    Significant experience in treasury management, with a focus on multinational operations, on standardization and continuous improvement.

    Experience of working in a global business and managing multi-currency bank accounts, in house bank structures (ROBO, COBO and POBO), cash pools and FX hedging programmes.

    Experience of European financial markets, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    Good knowledge of associated technical areas such as taxation, accounting, and audit.
    Experience of working on Projects whilst ensuring operational excellence is maintained.
    Knowledge of SAP ECC / S4H, SAP TRM and Oracle Hyperion Planning & HFM.
    Experience of working with SAP Multi Bank Connectivity.
    Experienced in strategic thinking, operational plans implementation & measure/control based on TQM / PCDA methodology.
