- Create test scenarios, scripts, and plans to ensure good scenario coverage is achieved from the testing process and work with business stakeholders and internal IT teams to execute those test plans.
- Execute Test cases and document test results
- Raise issues in accordance with the product defect lifecycle and perform root cause analysis on issues found during test execution.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases
- Communicate effectively with team members and stake holders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Support the other members of the system testing team with their tests, queries and communications
- Ensure governance, recording and documentation of system test procedures, results, defects and issues is standardised and effective What you'll bring?
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Require a strong understanding of below tools and technologies:
- SQL Developer, POSTMAN, SWAGGER, SoapUI, My SQL, Unix, Oracle SQL Developer, SQL Enterprise Manager. Telephony
- PL/SQL / SQL Server /Office / .NET
- Experience on testing Mobile devices , Handheld Devices
- Putty / WinSCP / FileZILLA /NotePad++
- Knowledge for DTC file formats (Dxxxx industry standard file formats)

About The RoleWe are looking to offer a Test Analyst the opportunity to join our expanding Test Team based in Newcastle with travel to Stevenage when required.
About your team
The Test Team is a shared service which delivers testing capabilities to projects under various M Group divisions– Water, Energy, Telecom and Transport. There are currently twelve testers in the team and they value creativity, collaboration and innovation.
About your role
You will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and supporting all test activities in the testing function and facilitating the preparation and execution of testing across all system changes. You will also be required to build effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the management of expectations and support delivery of changes to an agreed scope and deadline.
We offer a flexible working environment where hybrid working has been embedded. You would be required to attend the office three days per week.
