Background:


The City Apprenticeships Hub is a newly formed central service to lead, support and develop apprenticeships provision and apprentices across the university.

Key to the success and growth of apprenticeships is a clear structure and process from enrolment to completion.

To strengthen the current provision and grow it further, an Assessor with proven Management skills and good apprenticeship experience is essential, to assist the Apprenticeships Hub and meet/exceed ESFA and Ofsted regulations and requirements.


Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for the assessment and feedback of evidence submitted on the Apprenticeship programs, including preparation for End-point Assessment process.

You will be responsible for your diary management of booking Tripartite reviews and scheduling in line with ESFA funding rule requirements.

You will support the Apprenticeships Team with completion of monthly progress reports, updating and marking of the LMS; ensuring learners are compliant with ESFA and OFSTED regulations.

You will have a minimum assessor award such as TAQA, V1, D32/33 or equivalent and a Leadership/Management related NVQ level 5 or equivalent and PTLSS, or equivalent teaching qualification.


Person Specification:

You will have good organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize work independently.

You will have the ability to communicate with a range of Learners, Staff and Employers and the ability to influence and motivate as appropriate.

You will identify and help Learners to overcome potential barriers to progress and achieve.


You will be able to work on own initiative and problem solve, and also exercise sound judgment and escalate appropriate issues that present a risk.

in addition, you will be self motivated, professional and possess the ability to adapt quickly to change and learn new processes and procedures.

You will be IT literate, with the ability to adapt to new systems easily.


Experience as an Assessor is essential, previous FE experience is highly suitable for this role, which does not include delivery/teaching of the program, however sound assessment skills are required.


Sound understanding of management skills and knowledge is required, this can be from previous roles or delivery of standards at Level 5.
