We are currently looking to recruit a Community Safety Officer to join our established team.

Reporting to our Community Safety Manager our Community Safety Officers contribute to the implementation of intervention policies designed to prevent crime, anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime for our customers.

Providing a customer focused service our Community Safety Officers managed their own case load, working with key partners and outside organisations they take necessary actions to reduce crime and disorder.

What do our Community Safety Officers do;

  • Managing an assigned case load of antisocial behaviour.
  • To provide support and assistance to witnesses in cases of antisocial behaviour.
  • To effectively manage any domestic abuse and hate crime cases reported to the Group and work with the appropriate agencies to support the customer(s) and the Group.
  • To effectively manage any safeguarding cases ensuring close links with relevant agencies and teams.
  • To prepare cases for legal work, including drafting statements, liaising with solicitors and attendance at court as and when required
What we are looking for;

  • Good standard of education including Maths and English
  • Experience of delivering a variety of services to tackle antisocial behaviour
  • Experience of working in a community setting
  • Ability to manage and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in ICT packages including Microsoft
  • Passionate about providing a customer focussed service and improving communities.
