- Receiving customer phone calls and email queries, providing assistance with a wide variety of matters
- Planning and confirming daily routes
- Liaising with drivers to ensure high level of customer service and efficiency are reached and maintained
- Liaising with external contractors to secure additional operatives if required
- Assisting and understanding of other Traffic Coordinators' roles and providing cover when required
- Logging and maintaining customer database on company CRM system.
- Strong IT literacy skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Good geographic knowledge of the east and central Scotland
- Excellent time management skills
- A polite and conscientious telephone manner
- Excellent administration and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Team player.
- Experience working within a Transport department is required
- Experience working within the waste management industry is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
- Up to £27,000 per year
- 40 hours per week
- Shift Pattern- Monday to Friday
- 26 days and 4 statutory days holiday
