Description

Responsibilities:


  • Preparing equipment (booths, ovens & guns)
  • Preparation of product, ensuring surfaces are to customer specification pre paint
  • Application of wet painting to customer specification, prioritising workload in line with customer delivery requirements, consolidating finishes wherever possible to setup/reduce downtime.
  • Inspection of final finish to customer requirements, packing to ensure finish is maintained throughout the delivery process.
  • Loading/unloading of components for paint.
  • Ensuring an acceptable environment is maintained with the aim of keeping inclusions to a minimum.
  • General production duties working within PEPs staff training matrix.
  • Ensuring any product tolerance issues during production are brought to the attention of the quality department at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensuring a clean, tidy, and efficient working area.
  • Reporting any Health and Safety issues to the shop floor representative, or in his absence to the Health and Safety manager.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task required by the company.
  • Preparing Colour changes through the process as and when needed
  • Product preparation
  • Adherence to PPE requirements
  • Adherence to Health & Safety provisions
  • Support the Supervisor / Team Leader in driving continuous improvement initiatives in the bay
  • Attend and contribute to morning briefs as required
  • Undertake alternative valueadded activities for periods of nonproductive work
  • Ensure the area meets and exceed the company standards on 5s
  • Deal with any issues as they arise and seek immediate advice from the Supervision / Team Leader when necessary
  • Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedure are fully adhered

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:


  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar role within a workshop environment.
  • Strong team player
  • Body shop experience
  • Experience spraying clearoverbase

Skills:


  • Can do/will do attitude.
  • Must have the ability to follow the quality process and Standard Operating Procedure for a given process.
  • New panel surface preparation process
  • Preparation, and flattening procedures
  • Colour identification and mixing process

Job Types:

Salary:
£13.27 per hour
