GLOBAL UNIVERSITIES ADVISER

hours per week FTE), 37 weeks per year (term time plus)

Salary:
Up to £40,215 FTE per annum


Up to £18,531 per annum for 22.5 hours, 37 weeks per year including holiday pay

Up to £23,061 per annum for 28 hours, 37 weeks per year including holiday pay

Starting salary depending on skills, qualifications and experience


This is an exciting role in which the successful applicant will support delivery of an innovative, world class provision for a generation of high achieving, ambitious and globally minded young students.


The post holder will be an integral member of the Professional Guidance Centre (PGC) which oversees all Higher Education, Careers and Employability provision for College.

The PGC team works closely with academic departments, the Leadership Team, the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, Tutors and Houseparents to influence the opportunities provided for students to foster skills of leadership, teamwork, enterprise and to promote internationalism.


As well as being educated to degree level, and ideally with a relevant professional qualification, you will have experience of providing advice and guidance to young people.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively with highly motivated young people as well as having a genuine and demonstrable commitment to educational excellence and empathy with the distinctive ethos and ideals of College.

You must be flexible and able to respond effectively to the peak period demands of the role and willing to travel to training events.


It is preferred that the post-holder is able to work Friday afternoons to coincide with the scheduling of the school-wide enrichment programme.

In addition, some Saturday working will be required which will be taken as time off in lieu.
