Our client is a Specialised Industrial Service Provider offering a wide range of engineering components, technical services and customisation solutions.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • The inspection of motors for damage and any malfunctions
  • The testing of motors and associated equipment prior to any remedial work
  • Report on damaged equipment and work with management to decide on appropriate action
  • Dismantle / strip the motor keeping any parts that can be reused
  • Rewind a variety of electromagnetic equipment including single phase, three phase, AC equipment, DC fields, armatures, wound rotor and transformers
  • Assist in testing the refurbished product

What we are looking for

  • A formal training or qualification in winding within a motor environment
  • Some experience of both AC and DC winding, although just AC would be considered
  • The ability to carry out fitting tasks as well as winding
  • An awareness and ability to work in a safe manner at all times
