- The inspection of motors for damage and any malfunctions
- The testing of motors and associated equipment prior to any remedial work
- Report on damaged equipment and work with management to decide on appropriate action
- Dismantle / strip the motor keeping any parts that can be reused
- Rewind a variety of electromagnetic equipment including single phase, three phase, AC equipment, DC fields, armatures, wound rotor and transformers
- Assist in testing the refurbished product
What we are looking for
- A formal training or qualification in winding within a motor environment
- Some experience of both AC and DC winding, although just AC would be considered
- The ability to carry out fitting tasks as well as winding
- An awareness and ability to work in a safe manner at all times
