    Description

    About the role

    As an experienced Accountant, you will work within Financial Control to develop and implement key new processes relating to existing work and future M&A. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for efficiency and continual improvement, willing to take the lead on the creation of ideas and turn them into a functional, detailed processes.

    Main Duties:

  • Take the lead on producing the monthly CFO and bank reporting packs including resolving Board action points where applicable
  • Take the lead on the annual budgeting process for Group Reporting including re-forecasting as required during the year
  • Involvement in MI data and reporting requirements for new acquisitions.
  • Transforming existing processes such as analysis files so that they run more efficiently, with higher value outputs for senior management.
  • Perform complex ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis when required, adding valuable insights to support decision-making.
  • Work with the wider team to support data and MI transformation projects to centralise, streamline and automate availability of reporting
  • Ad Hoc duties as expected of a Group Forecasting & MI Accountant.
  • About you

    Skills and experience:

  • Holder of a recognised professional accounting qualification or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Track record of contributing to a continuous improvement culture and the ability to challenge existing processes and methodologies.
  • Sound commercial awareness with the ability to apply common sense to business decision-making.
  • Very strong Excel, analytical and communications skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with different colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced, large volume, transactional environment with the ability to think creatively to improve on processes.
  • High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on quality of work.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and delivery.
