    Principle Practitioner in Occupational therapy for Children and Young People with Postural Challenges and/or Neurological conditions

    We have an exciting opportunity for experienced occupational therapists to join our children's therapy service in the Pennine Locality at LSCFT as we embark on the development of our clinical leadership positions.


    We are specifically looking for Occupational Therapists with passion and drive to deliver effective services to children and young people who also wish to work as a part of a developing leadership team with existing clinical leads to shape the future of service provision.


    We are investing in a range of positions to ensure it achieves the best clinical outcomes for the population of children and young people in need of guidance, support and therapeutic intervention.

    We are looking for suitably trained and motivated therapists who can deliver on the occupational therapy pathways and contribute to its ongoing development.

    You will be based in one of our three teams across the patch but you will contribute to clinical care for children and young people residing across the locality.

    We are looking for individuals who are keen to invest in their own development and in return we will support you through professional and clinical supervision, shadowing and co-working opportunities, in-service training, professional forums, trust wide AHP research group, and funding opportunities for relevant external training courses.

    We would welcome motivated applicants with direct experience of working with children, young people and their families.


    Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area.

    Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

    First degree/equivalent professional pre-registration qualification in Physiotherapy/Speech & Language Therapy/Occupational Therapy
    Significant post qualification experience in the relevant field.

    Expert clinician with advanced clinical reasoning and therapy skills
    Evidence of clinical leadership skills including influencing and achieving change and professional development of others

    Significant post registration experience in the speciality area including having worked as a clinical specialist (Band 7) in area of speciality
