    PA needed in PE14 area for a child primarily during holidays, PE14 area, £11.44 p/h

    Job Purpose
    To provide care and support to a child with severe special educational needs primarily during Norfolk School Holiday Dates (approximately 12 hours per week, Tuesday's and Thursday's only during school holidays)

    Location: PE14, Marshland St James

    Main Duties:

    • Assisting with daily care and supervision at home.
    • Supporting communication development with objects of reference and PECs.
    • Helping to facilitate safe play.
    • Personal Care


    These duties may vary from day to day
    Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary

    Please note that the place of work is not accessible, so a car is essential.

    Person Specification
    Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success. Please refer to these when submitting your application.

    Essential

    • Experience of working or caring for children with special educational needs.
    • Awareness of Autism.

    Preferred

    • Experience of using PECs and/or objects of reference

    Summary Terms and Conditions

    • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses as part of this role.
    • The rate of pay for this position is £11.44 p/h
    • Hours and times of work negotiated with employer, who will be Mum.
    • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
    • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
    • Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 3 months.
