The role

An Engagement Manager will work towards strict targets and guidelines in accordance with the programme obligations and Reed in Partnership process.

This is not an exhaustive list, and an Engagement Manager will be expected to carry out any other duties as maybe specified by their manager from time to time.


Key accountabilities
Administration & Quality Engagement Managers ensure accurate and timely recording and evidencing of event paperwork necessary for claim evidencing. Adherence to all administrative requirements of programme delivery is mandatory.

- Manage the evidencing processfor events from concept to completion, maintaining accurate records - Support 12 team members to follow set processes and maintain oversight of evidencing across the team's events - Ensure completion of all agreed actions contained within Employer ActivitySupport Plans - Follow prescribed filing and data accuracy requirements to ensure the confidentiality of student information and a robust audit trail for internal and external review.

Stakeholder Engagement School/College/ Employer (including Micro/SME) engagementis key in the success of Careers Hubs.

Engagement Managers will be responsible for attracting and on-boarding Employers & Micro/SMEs that will support with engagement activity as well as providing work place visits for students.

- Develop strong relationshipswith Employers and link them to schools/colleges based on their needs analysis.

- Outline and agree clear milestones/delivery timeframes with Employers to plan for work Gatsby Benchmark 5 and 6 Activities over the lifetime of the contract.

- Support deliveryof employer encounters and work insight events to achieve significant Gatsby Benchmark 5 and 6 improvements. - Engage Employers to agree/sign Employability Activity Support Plan action plans outlining activity (e.g. employer shadowing) and maintain ongoingcommunication to keep ahead of changes to needs/opportunities.

- Focus on attraction and engagement of micro/SMEs - Facilitate three-way meetings with schools/colleges, employers, and Careers Hubs delivery staff to review progress.

Analysis & Reporting EngagementManagers will be responsible for analysing school data to inform the development of bespoke plans for each school.

They will also be required to report on activity and progress against these plans on a termly basis. - Developing an employer endorsed strategyin line with careers guidance approaches.

Produce termly reviews for the commissioner that provide a clear update on progress against the Gatsby benchmarks and towards engagement activity - Share best practice with schools/colleges and teachers across theCareers Hub to promote/inform sustainable careers guidance provision.

- Utilise management information tools and data to regularly report on cluster progress to Operations Manager.

Skills & experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in project management / project coordination support
  • Possess strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Highly organised planning skills with a strong initiative and highly methodical, strategic, and proactive approach,and an ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • High attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to deal with employees and employers at all levels
  • Ability to work independently, pro-actively anticipating problems before they arise
  • Technicalskills include strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy skills and good written communication/record keeping skills.
  • Personal circumstances include willingness to travel locally (e.g. to work remotely in a different school/locationeach day of the week), as well as a willingness to work flexible hours (e.g. to attend after school events and network meetings).

Essential Attainments:

  • Minimum of 2 Alevels or an equivalent Level 3 diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a gradeB (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) or achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
  • Experience of working with young people, teachers and other stakeholders within educational establishments.
  • Selfstarter with experience of workingremotely.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience of working within a customer focused, performance target driven environment.

Desirable Attainments:

  • Experience of working in a School/College/HEI environment.
