    Tom Farm is passionate about Education, Conservation and Therapeutic Intervention


    As the Interim Assistant Farm Manager you'll be responsible for helping the Farm Manager in the day to day running of all the sections on a farm, you'll work closely as a team to ensure a high level of health and welfare is maintained.


    The job is hands on and involves daily cleaning of all the animals, therefore a keen eye for detail is imperative.

    The farm features a menagerie of animals from hoof stock through to reptiles; so a base knowledge of a variety of species is crucial.

    The farm is based within a school for boys ages 4 – 19 and education is at the heart of what we do.

    You may be required to assist in lessons and practical activities.

    The job hosts a variety of opportunities from working with young people to training livestock, making it both interesting and enjoyable.

    Working hours are 8:30am -4:30pm: The nature of animal work is as usual and sometimes overtime may be required.

    You will be based on Toms Farm at Nightingale Community Academy which resides in London, but may be required to work across additional Tom's Farm Locations.

    Being a city farm we need somebody who can be creative with ideas and has an understanding for grazing plans and paddock management.

    Tom's Farm is A multi-farm site and whilst the role is based at Nightingale, you may be required to work at our other external working farms.


    The farm is currently undergoing some renovation and we hope you'll contribute ideas and help us progress the farm into the future.

    We would like you to have a minimum of 2 years full time experience within the animal sector and preferably an accredited animal care qualification.

    The candidate would have a large amount of responsibility in regards to both pupils and animals, the right person would need an understanding of health and safety and farm risk assessments.
