Buyer
The Role
- Working within the procurement department within the business
- Negotiating with suppliers on price for parts and materials
- Agreeing lead times with suppliers and haulage companies
- Monitoring stock levels and replenishing stock accordingly
- Looking at the production programme and ensuring parts and materials are onsite
- Attend weekly production meetings
- Raising purchase orders
- Ensuring prices agreed match with invoices
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Other relevant procurement duties
Essential Criteria
- At least 1 years' experience with a similar role
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Ability to work off own initiative
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining stock levels
- Good computer skills
