Aspire Resourcing has been appointed to conduct a search, on behalf of a world-renowned Industrial Manufacturing organisation based in Essex.

The role sits on the senior leadership team, reporting into the Site Director leading all internal and external logistics activities across a very large and complex production site. You will lead a team of nearly % salaried and 80% hourly) and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

You will ideally have experience in the following workstreams:

• Full S&OP understanding, scheduling and sequencing
• Material planning – CSCN and supplier interfacing
• ERP systems
• Warehouse management from inbound, stowing, line feeding
• Commercial experience
• Logistics engineering – layout, delivery, JIT, JIS, Kanban etc
• Launch planning new programs

This is more than just a Logistics Manager role and will require someone who is comfortable in very complex logistical environments and who has the ability to be both hands on but also to 'take a step back' and understand the value and impact of strategic decisions.
