    The Opportunity:

    We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Financial Operations team as a Financial Operations Team Leader.

    The team are responsible for receiving and posting all income onto customer's accounts ensuring all income is accounted for. All Sales ledger invoices are raised on a timely basis and any debt is chased.

    We are looking for someone to positively contribute and participate in the development and improvement of services provided by the operational finance team.

    What you'll be doing

    As a Financial Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the Financial Operations team alongside another Team Leader reporting to the Head of Financial operations.

    The team -

    • Download and process all payments received and ensure that they are allocated correctly.

    • Raise and despatch debtor invoices as required in accordance with agreed procedures and respond to customer requests to make payments.

    • Provide credit control service including collection of all debts and customer payments, maintain contact with customers to ensure invoices are paid and resolving any outstanding invoice queries with both internal and external customers.

    • Maintain charges for new properties and re-let properties.

    • Set up all Direct Debits for our customers and create collection accounts.

    • Post any adjustments to customers' accounts.

    • Post Ad-hoc payments and refunds to the bank and to customers' accounts.



    You will be responsible for setting the New Year rent increase, arranging testing by team members and liaising with other managers ensuring all increases are correct. You will also liaise with our Printers to ensure all letters are sent out in a timely manner and complete Month End reconciliations.

    With a focus on excellent customer service, you'll look after all incoming correspondence to the department.

    About you

    You need to be educated to GCSE level with grade C/level 5 passes in both English and Maths. A financial qualification is desired but not essential.

    You will have experience of managing a team.

    You will have experience of working in a busy processing/transactional team with experience of working with computerised accounts systems. You'll also be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite.

    You will need to be an effective communicator, establishing and building relationships across the business to enable collaborative working where applicable.

    You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to be able to juggle conflicting priorities and juggle a demanding workload whilst retaining a good eye for detail.

    You will need to be a good team leader with a 'can-do' attitude, as well as being a proactive, forward thinker with a flexible approach to hours worked.
