    About the role

    The Cancer Institute Management Accountant is responsible for effectively and pro-actively managing the Institute's finances in accordance with the University's regulations, policies and procedures and the Institute's strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include business planning, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring income and expenditure and providing detailed financial reports to support the Institute's senior management decision making. The Management Accountant will work in close collaboration with the Institute Manager and provide leadership for other members of the Institute Finance Team who will be accountable to this post and also the wider Professional Services Team. On occasion the post-holder may need to represent the Institute Manager.

    About you

    The post-holder will ideally hold (or be near completion) a recognized accountancy qualification. They will be an experienced finance professional, with proven success in preparing budgets, forecasting and implementing processes to ensure efficient financial management. They will have excellent IT (particularly Excel), communication and organisational skills.
