The Pet Express (Mad about Paws)

Working for Pet Express Ltd (Mad about Paws) you will ensure customers feel welcome in the store and build a rapport with them.

You will also be required to assist customers with bathing, washing, and drying of their dogs and carry out a basic visual health check of the dog on behalf of the owner before bathing.

Working week

Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm Sunday: 9.30am - 4.30pm (usually 10am-4.30pm or 9.30am - 4pm) On a shift rota working 5 out of the 7 days.

TBC. Will be required to work weekends.

Total hours per week: 30 hours a week

Duties to include:

Ensuring all customers feel welcome
Building a rapport with customers to identify their pet care needs
Utilise your skills and knowledge to help customers provide the best possible care for their pets
Ensure sales are correctly and efficiently handled at the till
Exceed customer expectations

Our Stores:

Ensure stock levels are replenished to meet customer needs and expectations
Ensure high standards of store presentation
Make customers aware of current deals and promotions
To assist with administration tasks such as stock ordering, control, maintaining record and data entry
To ensure the washroom is always kept clean and tidy, free from hazards and to ensure baths are cleaned after every use

Dog Wash:

Helping to assist customers with bathing, drying of their dogs with the onsite facilities
Carry out basic visual health check on behalf of owner before bathing

Functional Skills in maths & English

Things to consider

On occasion may be required to work at a different location if one of the stores need cover, travel out of Plymouth is paid / reimbursed.

Manual handling involved Will be require to work weekends due to busiest sales period You will be expected to approach and engage with customers in a sales advisor role
