- Contract writing and fulllifecycle contract administration. Maintain organized projectfiles.
- Write competitive solicitations toselect vendors for complex IT projects using State templatedocuments and various solicitation methods such as Request forProposal (RFP) Invitation to Bid (ITB) and Request for Information(RFI).
- Peer review contract analysis and auditof contract wording to ensure compliance of all parties withregulatory and legal requirements. Effectively communicatefindings. Report project status in written logs and staffmeetings.
- Act as a liaison between internalcustomers the State chainofcommand vendors and suppliers in supportof contract activities. Work effectively with all levels of Statestaff from clerical to executive management.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is seeking anIT Contracts Specialist for the Business Services Division to workon a potentially longterm contract basis. This position plays a keyrole in developing and maintaining legal documents for informationtechnology (IT) agreements. The successful candidate is skilled ininterviewing team members vendors and business associates toconfirm technical specifications for IT procurements and canconcisely write this information into legal documents such ascontracts amendments and statements of work. The IT ContractsSpecialist will deliver contract documents on schedule and ensureconsistency and efficiency in legal and technical writing throughadherence to State methodology policies procedures and standards.Experience writing complex government or corporatemultimilliondollar multiyear IT contracts is required. Experiencewriting complex contractorhosted SaaS contracts is required. Thisis primarily a remote work position with an anticipated workschedule of MondayFriday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST but occasionalfield work or inoffice training may be required. Compensation fortravel/lodging to attend required training or field work is notprovided. Local candidates within driving distance of NashvilleTennessee are preferred.
