    About the Role

    We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Assistant Chemist with excellent organisational and people skills to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of stimulating research activities in close collaboration with our scientific team to further enhance our delivery technology and develop next generation mRNA therapies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Follow formulation protocols to support in-house evaluation of therapeutic delivery
    • Propose, plan and execute experiments aiding product development
    • Develop analytical assays
    • Accurately record and report experimental results
    • Apply technical and scientific skills to present findings in a concise and effective manner
    • Proactively look for and read scientific literature to enhance understanding of projects
    • Assist general laboratory management and maintenance
    • Follow standard operating procedures and comply with health and safety rules

    Background and Experience

    • A Masters degree in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent chemical sciences
    • Experience working in an industrial R&D environment is an advantage
    • Hands-on experience with nanoparticle production and characterisation
    • Experience in bio-conjugation
    • Strong theoretical and practical chemistry skills
    • Excellent record keeping skills with attention to detail
    • Proficient IT and data analysis skills
    • Ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a team
    • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
