    Corndel is seeking exceptional individuals to join our Operations team as Professional Development Experts (PDEs) to deliver first-class coaching and training for our Software Engineering Programme.

    To be successful, candidates must have lived industry experience as a Software Engineering/Developer.

    We are looking for people who understand the complexities, challenges, rewards, and opportunities of Software Engineering and who want to pass on their technical knowledge and skills in conjunction with an accredited and highly acclaimed qualification to help others succeed.

    As part of your development, we will enable you to achieve a professional teaching qualification, so prior teaching/training experience is not necessary, although it is a bonus.

    As a Corndel Professional Development Expert, you will provide first-class coaching, mentoring, and training to develop and progress learners working with some of the largest and highest-profile businesses in the UK.

    Corndel delivers a range of programmes, including Leadership and Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Data Professional, Data Analytics, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Fundraising.

    Manage a caseload of learners, mentoring, coaching, and equipping them to become better Software Engineering.
    Customise our theoretical course content for each individual learner you support through regular teaching sessions and workshops.
    Support your caseload of learners in completing all Corndel training materials and assessment tasks in a timely manner.
    There is potential for you to manage client account relationships from an operational perspective.
    Teaching a cohort of learners through their Software Engineering Level 4 programme
    Facilitating online and face-to-face workshops that engage, motivate, and educate the learners.
    Collaborating with the Skills for Business team to engage learners through relevant Maths & English qualifications
    Expert-level, lived industry experience in Software Engineering/Development
    Python
    Java
    Javascript
    C#
    Web development - including responsive design and accessibility
    Coding principles and best practice
    Testing & methodologies
    Software development principles and practice
    SDLC, Agile & Waterfall
    Microsoft Azure
    Design patterns, and industry standard artefacts of software modelling and design, (e.g. Common algorithms & data structures
    Deciding between and using different kinds of databases (relational & non-relational) and experience with SQL
    Project management

    The ability to help learners set clear, specific, and achievable goals, with a foundational understanding of goal-setting techniques.

    Effective time management skills are essential for structuring one-to-one coaching sessions, running workshops, keeping on top of admin, and setting priorities, as well as helping learners manage their time effectively.
