- Support the department in providing recommendations to management on investment opportunities based on own analysis and evaluation (including the handling of internal applications for such procedures).
- Support business departments as an "in-house advisor" in terms of investment sourcing and deal execution.
- Monitor and oversee invested subsidiaries and affiliates in order to keep them growing and profitable through budget control and decision-making for key governance matters (including the handling of internal applications for such procedures).
- Consider and advise management of subsidiaries and affiliates on their business and operations and offer ways to improve performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with business departments and support corporate development activities.
- Support strategic exits of investments as required.
- Coach and develop junior staff members in the department.
- Actively contribute to accomplishment of IPM team targets.
- Undergraduate university education or higher.
- Degree in Management & Business Administration, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar (preferred)
- Essential (in one of more of the following areas): corporate finance, M&A, portfolio management, business strategy/development and risk management.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high performing team (previous people management experience required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eager to tackle challenges and highly self-driven
- Results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality deliverables
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and engaging with management
- Happy to travel frequently, mainly in Europe and occasionally further afield.
