About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist.
This position will be accountable for the front line control responsibilities related to the EMEA Markets line of business.

This is a regional Specialist position which will develop and execute consistently with the Group Control Executive's 5 pillars amongstother objectives this targets risk identification & assessment, control & issue management and control design & evaluation.

The role will work within the EMEA Markets line of business (LOB) to implement and execute the required risk and controls framework and help identify, escalate and proactively manage "non-financial" risks in the designated lines of business.

This position willpartner functions across the second and third lines of defense as required.


In this role, you will:


  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Assist, advise and support the EMEA Markets business with the management of nonfinancial risk events and issues.
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Support related LE Risk & Control Self-Assessment, and Control Design activities consistent with the Group Control Executive's 5 pillars, Risk Management Framework, regulatory commitments and associated policies established by Independent Risk Management(IRM)
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

Required Qualifications:


  • Experience in Risk Management, Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Direct experience and working knowledge of a Markets business through experience in nonfinancial risk roles across the three lines of defense (including compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal)
  • Detailed knowledge of front to back transaction lifecycles and bookings flows to support the business.
  • Provide succinct and timely reporting and tracking of progress including status of issues that supports effective decisionmaking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work, and collaborate with, geographically dispersed teams, in matrixed relationships and interact with all levels of an organization
  • Must be a proactive selfstarter who values personal accountability and thrives under pressure in a fastpaced and demanding environment
  • Strong relationship management skills and organizational savvy with a 'no surprises' approach to communicating issues
  • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with Business leaders
  • Ability to analyze data and make connections across various data sets to make recommendations to management and project teams in a timely manner.
  • Ability to leverage creative thinking and problem solving skills to facilitate decisions and to ensure project outcomes result in expected business value.
