We are currently on the lookout for a Safeguarding partnership Contextual safeguarding co-ordinator to work within the Safeguarding team in Slough.

The postholder will provide a highly specialised support and advisory service to safeguarding partners in relationto contextual safeguarding and providing authoritative, evidence informed advice on methods, systems and processes in this specialist area working with a variety of operational teams and providing an accessible, flexible, efficient and courteous cross-functionaloperational and cross partnership services across areas.

Proficiency in a specialised field (contextual safeguarding) is required, including an understanding of relevant contextual legislation, regulatory frameworks, processes and procedures relating to the area of the service.

The post will be the Council's 'expert'on the professional area of contextual safeguarding.
Key activities include;

  • Assisting in the delivery of projects and programmes for the Council and partners and providing effective professional expertise and project support.
  • May require attendance at meetings, preparing agendas, reports and relevant documents and provision of advice to members of the public and colleagues on specialist areas relevant to the role.
  • Lead, organise, develop and motivate employees and partners in relation to contextual safeguarding.
