About the Role:
Risk Lead - Ventures - Warwick (with hybrid working)/ UK wide considered
As our Risk Lead, you'll have accountability to ensure alignment with the Chief Risk Office and Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk Assurance & Resilience teams to translate Group risk appetite within Interconnectors.
This is an opportunity for you to drive cultural change, embed a new efficient and dynamic risk approach cutting across the whole interconnectors business.
What you'll be getting up to:
- Lead a top down and bottom-up risk management framework to identify, define and manage Interconnectors Principal risks underpinning our business objectives.
- Ensure all Interconnectors Principal risks are actively managed to remain within Group risk appetite
- Review, challenge and optimise risk, compliance and controls testing approaches and statuses for consistency
- Accurate and timely delivery of all risk reporting for NG, NGV & Interconnectors
- Deliver and facilitate information to ensure the Interconnectors Risk Committee can make strategic value producing decisions
- Lead the review and assessment of risk management policies, making recommendations, and implementing improvements
- Ensure risk policy / guidelines are followed by Interconnectors teams and appropriately monitored and challenged
- Support all stakeholders through the risk implementation journey ensuring they adhere to the risk strategy
About You:
- Proven experience in delivering risk management change
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
- Project Management experience
- Cross functional stakeholder management
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools
- PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Knowledge of energy market preferred but not essential
- Degree level educated preferred but not essential
