We are proud to be recruiting for a Material Planning Manager for our client, who is very-well known as a Manufacturer of Construction and Mining equipment.

The role would be joining as the team grows and the company is adding more investment, so promisesto be an exciting opportunity


Based in Stockton, with hybrid working, the role would be responsible for material planning, inventory control and supplier management and offers an opportunity for someone looking to move into a more managerial position, or someone with the experience andready to go.

We are looking at paying between £45,000-£50,000 per annum for the role, with 25 days holiday (+ Bank Hols), 10% Bonus and various share and car schemes available too


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborating with the relevant teams to coordinate production plans for the facility, directing the material forecasts, to meet the facility plan and objectives while satisfying customer needs.
  • Managing inventory and record accuracy through monitoring shortage and surplus exception, supplier follow ups, negative onhands, and daily delivery performance.
  • Focus on quality managing engineering changes for the facility ensuring on time readiness from planning, supporting the customers' change requirements.
  • Establishes and nurtures supplier relationships, including identifying and implementing methods to assure suppliers are compliant or improving their scorecard performance monitoring ASN and delivery performance.
  • Implements efficient supply plans both internal and interplant, whilst optimising inventory holdings, lead times, packaging, transport costs and operational constraints.
  • Provides direct support the operations through managing incoming requirements and scheduling production work orders.
  • Implements and coordinates efficient supplybase management.
  • Supports development of direct reports including further on the job training and developing current skills. You are responsible for the direct team motivation, coaching and development and guiding their performance.
  • Strong technical experience in Demand Planning
  • Strong supplier management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience within Supply Chain and wider commercial awareness of how Supply Chain functions operate with each other
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal direction
