Development Draughtsperson
To create and maintain development drawings, datasheets, MRIs and CAD Models.

To undertake the migration of new and/or modified CCM products from development into production.


To process Engineering Change Request (ECR) work packages for Naval products including the creation and maintenance of production drawings, datasheets, MRIs and CAD Models.


To assist, when necessary, the Naval Development project team with the design of new and/or modified CCM products in accordance with the project requirements.

The responsibilities of the Design Draughtsperson role include (but are not limited to):

  • Produce engineering drawings and CAD Models using Autodesk Inventor to current drawing office procedures.
  • To be proficient with the Autodesk File Management system, VAULT.
  • Maintain development and production drawing data packs in accordance with Drawing Office Code of Practice CP000
  • Utilise AutoCAD when necessary to update and maintain CCM historical product drawings and data packs.
  • Create and maintain development and production MRIs
  • Creation of new product drawing data packs from approved development packs.
  • To process Engineering Change Request (ECR) work packages for Naval products
  • Maintain drawing number and data sheet registers
  • Other tasks commensurate with the role and activities being carried by the Naval Development Team

Development Draughtsperson Specifications:


  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
  • Must hold sole British citizenship and you must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
  • HNC or Equivalent qualification in Engineering
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge within a design or CAD role.
  • Permitted to work in the UK with no restrictions
The role will be worked over a 37.5 hour working week; Monday to Friday. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
