Job Description: FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative

Aligra is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative to join their team at their Tilbury location.

As an FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift truck within the warehouse environment. You will also be required to undertake general warehouse duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor. The role will require a good level of written and spoken English, as well as the ability to read and follow instructions accurately.

Location: Tilbury

Salary:13.28 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move goods and materials around the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Stacking and storing goods in the appropriate locations
• Ensuring that all goods are handled and stored in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and quality.
• Maintaining accurate records of goods received and distributed.
• Conducting regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and dispatching orders
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work area

Requirements:

• Valid RTITB or ITSAAAR accredited Forklift Certificate
• Recent experience working on a Counterbalance FLT
• Good level of written and spoken English
• Safety shoes and Hi Vis clothing are required
• Ability to work on a rotation shift schedule (06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00)
