Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a rapidly growing global FMCG business in their search for Warehouse Team Leaders in their site in Cambridge.

This role will play a critical part in this organisation expansion plans in helping to successfully executetheir growth plans across 2023 and beyond.


Description


As a Warehouse Team Leader you will manage a team of 10+ colleagues on your shift, whilst reporting into the Operations Manager.

Your team will look to you for engagement and support across a fast-paced operation.

  • Active daytoday management of the team which involves goods in, picking, replenishment and despatch.
  • Leadership of both direct and indirect reports, of Warehouse Operatives.
  • Briefing and debriefing of staff
  • Provide reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for KPIs of direct reports
  • Providing effective leadership within health & safety and promoting only the highest standards at all times.
  • Ensuring that colleague's skills are actively enhanced at every opportunity, such as further training and development.
  • Management and accuracy checks of all stock management via a WMS system.
  • Undertake managerial responsibilities such as Return to works, appraisals, absence management
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager on all operational matters

Profile
The successful Warehouse Team Leader will be commutable to Cambridge and embody the following experience / skills:

  • 3+ years' experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor and / or Warehouse Management role within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background ideally within pharmaceutical, chemical or food sector
  • Strong background of knowledge in warehousing and logistics
  • Proven track record of leading teams of 10+ colleagues.
  • IT literate and confident user of any WMS
  • IOSH is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ideally a holder of FLT licences such as counterbalance and reach truck however training can be provided too
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and can adapt well to changes
  • Experience in implementing few LEAN tools within the operation
  • Ability to work Monday
  • Friday weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am2pm and 2pm to 10pm
