An established asset management consultancy, listed on the London Stock Exchange, are looking for an ambitious Investment Associate to join their team on a permanent basis in the City of London.


The opportunity

You will have the opportunity to work in an aspiring company that operates globally across Europe and North America, working with some of the world's most significant investors and managers.

You will work directly with senior members of staff from day one andwill be a core member of the team, assisting with a variety of high-impact projects for institutional clients.

Your team will provide a full range of advisory and investment services to both well-established and emerging companies across all asset classes,with a specialist focus on alternative investments (including private markets, specifically private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private credit).

Responsibilities

Your contribution will be essential as you will work on providing bespoke services to clients, including strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, on-going portfolio monitoring, as well as personalised consulting advice.

Your focuswill be on private markets, and you will play a key role in researching managers, funds, and the markets in which they operate, as well as support the manager selection process for institutional clients through qualitative and quantitative analysis.

You willdevelop your expertise quickly on major sectors of interest to the investment community and provide support on strategic asset allocation exercises.

Your report writing skills will be utilised in comprising due diligence reports, economic reviews and researchpieces.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within alternative investments or private markets.
  • Experience in manager / fund research and selection.
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills, including Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Partqualified professional qualifications such as the CFA and FIA are welcomed, but not essential.
