The scope of work is as follows:


  • Roles and Responsibilities for Project Process Engineer:
  • Key contributor to the Process discipline and the Mechanical procurement packages for the utility systems within our client's large scale offshore wind farm projects, thus ensuring that the design of the Offshore Substation is in line with relevant regulations,codes and specifications.
  • Be an active member of the studies and workshops for HAZID / HAZOP / LOPA within the project.
  • Participate in technical and system design review meetings.
  • Representing the Process discipline during the PDMS 3D Model Reviews (30%, 60%, 90%).
  • Perform reviews of Contractors and Suppliers design documentation within the discipline "P" and "R" (P&IDs, D&IDS, Data Sheets, equipment plot plans, reports, calculations, dynamic simulations, etc).
  • Initiate, evaluate or answer on clarifications, technical queries or NCR's within process/mechanical and utility systems.
  • Proactive problem solving attitude, thus maintaining technical integrity is required.
  • Maintain Employers Specifications (Employer Requirements) if and when required within the Process discipline.
  • Liaise closely with the Instrument discipline (development of Control Narratives, Control & Protection, Cause & Effect, Alarm & Trip, etc)
  • Contribute in multi discipline problem solving and design development (internally and externally).
  • Contribute in RAM, FMECA and ARMS (risk management).
  • Consult / Discuss / Involve relevant Operation, Commissioning and MC teams /departments.
  • Contribute with technical / discipline input to project management regarding schedule, risk, and verification activities etc. when required.
  • Identify, report and followup critical activities
  • Participate in inter discipline scope clarifications and interfaces within the project organisation when/where required.
  • Professional evaluations and recommendations of technical solutions and initial calculations.
  • Ensure technical integrity within the Process and Mechanical discipline.
  • Knowledge of LCI requirements, to ensure consistent final documentation is considered advantageous
  • Review and technical responsibility for piping design:
  • Review of documentation including but not limited to: data-sheets, procurement specifications, philosophies, standard design details, materials specifications, and reports
  • Knowledge of piping design according to TR2000, ASME B31.3, NORSOK
  • Review and technical responsibility for layout design:
  • Review of documentation including but not limited to: plot plans, elevations, 3D models (e3D/NAVIS), mechanical handling layouts, lift plans etc.
  • Good understanding of regulatory design/ certification requirements including DNV-ST0145, EN, MARPOL, LOLER, CDM regs, etc.
  • Attendance of reviews including 3D model reviews, mechanical handling reviews, transport and installation, interfaces etc.
  • Knowledge of offshore substation auxiliary and electrical equipment packages
