Metalis is working with a well established engineering company based in
Sheffield, who are rapidly growing within the sustainable energy industry.

Due to expansion in the company, they are looking for
CNC Machinist to join their friendly team on a
permanent basis,
days and afters (rotating).

About the Role:

The role of is to manufacture components that are used within the companies' products and projects using
Fanuc controlled machining centres.

Responsibilities:

To ensure all components are manufactured to drawing and are within the specified tolerances and quality standards.
Ensure housekeeping is regularly conducted to the 5's standards set.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance schedules and report any machine/tooling issues as they arise.
Report any concerns in Safety, Quality, Delivery as and when they arise.
Attend training courses as required for the role.
Train other people to conduct duties you are competent in when required.
Adhere to Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge and Experience:

Apprenticeship trained in a mechanical/ engineering discipline as a minimum. (Any additional engineering qualification will be advantageous)
Being a time served Machinist from a manufacturing environment is essential.
Competent using Fanuc controls is preferred but training can be provided if you have knowledge of other systems.
Solid works CAD/CAM experience is desirable.
Ability to read technical drawings is required.
Excellent bench work skills.
