    The Governors wish to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics.

    The closing date for applications is Monday, 6th May at 9.00am.

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching high-quality lessons, while nurturing and inspiring our students.     Our Mathematics teachers have the highest expectations of – and for – our students, and are committed to instilling a love of learning in order to create independent, inquisitive and critical thinkers, who are able to make connections and draw links across their learning journey.

    In the summer of 2022, the school achieved an excellent set of examination results, with a Progress 8 score well above both the local and national averages. Mathematics has played significant role in the raising the overall standards at the school.

    In November 2021, Ofsted rated the school as Good, stating: 'St Mary's Catholic High School is a deeply caring community. Its pupils and staff live up to their core values of being welcoming, serving others, and working hard.'

    In December 2021, the Diocesan Section 48 inspection stated that: 'The good behaviour of pupils contributes to the good learning attitudes of the pupils which together creates a harmonious Catholic community where everyone is respected no matter whatever their background. This in turn supports the clear mission of the school which is to welcome, serve others and work hard.'
