- Conducting risk assessments of water systems, including hot and cold-water services, cooling towers, and other water-containing assets.
- Identifying and evaluating potential sources of contamination, including legionella bacteria.
- Developing and implementing robust control measures to minimize the risk of waterborne diseases and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Providing technical support and guidance to clients on water hygiene management, including the maintenance of appropriate records and documentation.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits of water systems to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of water hygiene awareness and compliance.
- Proven experience in water hygiene risk assessment, preferably within an industrial or commercial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of legionella regulations and guidelines, including ACOP L8 and HSG 274.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant qualifications in water hygiene management or a related field (e.g., City & Guilds Legionella Control qualification).
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
