**Job Title: Volunteer

  • Citizens in Policing**
    Closing: 5th December

Who we are:

Citizens in Policing works to support the integration of volunteers into the West Midlands Police family.

Based in Lloyd House, we oversee volunteers in the special constabulary, the cadet scheme, police support volunteers and active citizens.

We are guiding the force in how we best recruit, retain and reward volunteers within the organisation.


Why we need your help:


We are a team that champions volunteers within the organisation, therefore we are asking for the support of a volunteer(s) to ensure our volunteers feel welcome supported and part of the West Midlands Police Family.

We would immensely value the support and guidance of a volunteer to help us learn more about their experiences within the organisation.

As the volunteer within our team, you will enhance all of our volunteers experience and help bring communities together.


Essential information:


  • Applicants are considered on their merits and regarded equally
  • We will induct and train you to carry out the role
  • Volunteers are eligible to claim £5.00 towards their lunch if they volunteer over 4 hours on given day.
  • This role description is intended as an indicator of general areas of activity and will be amended with any changing needs of West Midlands Police It is expected that the volunteer will be flexible, using this document as a framework

Skills and experience:


  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good communications skills & a good level of written and spoken English
  • Reliable with good timekeeping skills
  • Happy to work independently or as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and good observational skills
  • Administration skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)
